Color theory is something I’m still learning and growing comfortable with. Sometimes I do a little exercise where I try to observe palettes I see in my surroundings while I’m out running errands or some such, and then use them directly in my work. Here’s one example with a recent silhouette I made and listed in my shop.
Two drawings I finished recently, each around 5” square. They’re both ink, pencil, and Copic on Stonehenge 100% cotton rag paper, which is intended to be printmaking paper. I think the fibers take ink of most kinds like a dream.
I was getting all ready to list them on Etsy but then my friend Kate reserved them because she’s awesome and I feel so special that she likes my work. That link goes to her Flickr page because p.s. she’s an amazing photographer and y’all should peep her work.
