Block printing for the first time, so this is my first practice run. It turned out, uh, hm. I guess there’s next time? I can’t figure out why the ink application is so uneven and pooled, booooo.

Time to go be terrible at a new skill! (I’m taking a beginning ceramics class and sincerely stoked about mucking around in clay for six hours. It’s so different from the classes and skills I’m building for my illustration work!)

I’ve started cutting up all the garments that I and/or Bartleby ruined and are beyond mending, and yesterday I started hand sewing patchwork cloth coasters from the scraps. It takes me an embarrassingly long time to make one but they’re very satisfying.

So, true story: I drew that.
The last time I stumbled across it making the rounds on Tumblr I asked people to attribute it properly; almost everyone was really sweet and polite and put in proper credit. I just wonder how it started floating around anonymously to begin with.

I’ve been searching for the original artist for so long. I love this design

Hooray, you found me! :D

Hello, friends! I’m starting to list all those necklaces and trinkets I’ve been making on my Etsy shop. Please take a look around, I really hope you like them! (And if you do, feel free to reblog the posts as they come over the next couple weeks.)

Testing the epoxy on some of the painted beach pebbles I turned into charms. If they make it through one of my work days I’ll list them for sale on Monday!
